Need service hours? We've got an awesome opporunity for you! Benjamin Franklin Middle School is looking for volunteers. Help a middle school student and recent United States imigrant learn English and American Culture. Volunteers will mentor students through reading with them in English, having conversations, and serving as a mentor and role-model.

An ideal candidate should be committed to one hour a week, including transportation. Benjamin Franklin Middle School is only 10 minutes away from HPHS. Interested students should complete a volunteer form avaiable at www.dallasisd.org and bring a copy to Franklin Middle School. Please contact Neil Krasnoff ( krasnon@hpisd.org ) or Dr.Rosalinda Badia ( RBadia@dallasisd.org ) for more infomation.

Remember, you must complete 10 service hours for NEHS by May 1st (for Seniors) and May 18th (for Juniors) in order to maintain membership. If new members would like to apply for a scholarship, NEHS Scholarship applications are due May 5th in G125.
Happy volunteering!
